SHKIZH's trading arm — 100% natural-wool sixhade and qilima, hand-loomed by the women of Kukës. Every purchase directly funds fair wages and keeps a centuries-old tradition alive.
After studying Kukës's craft traditions, SHKIZH found that over 1,400 women had lost the loom-weaving profession that once sustained their families. From that came Artizanal, aka ArtZan — the social enterprise that puts the craft back in women's hands, and carries it into homes worldwide.
Our online shop ships across Albania, most of Europe, the US and beyond — and every cent of profit returns to the community of Kukës weavers.

Choose the size, motif and colour palette — every piece can be tailored for special occasions or weddings.
The colour book — every shade is hand-picked before the weaving begins.
Every piece begins with choosing natural wool and dyes, moves onto the traditional loom, and finishes in the hands of a weaver with years of experience. Not one step is machine-made.
That's why every rug carries small variations of its own — the mark of a human hand, not a flaw.
Our rug motifs don't live only on the floor — they're part of the clothing, the festivals, and everyday culture of Kukës and beyond.
Every order directly supports the women of Kukës and the work of SHKIZH.
